Nice looking truck. What did it get ordered with for power? Looks like that truck was in decent shape before the resto.

I have to say it though, you had to tow it home on a trailer with chevy hub caps?  :o

Thanks guys,

The truck has its original flat-head babbitt bearings V8 with 48K on it. It's a little tired so for long trips to shows I tote it on the Hyster folding goose neck low bed trailer behind the Acar. The truck was really in a lot worse shape that it looked. I'll post a bunch of pictures in the Ford Gallery. I've got some of the '62 Autocar in the Autocar Gallery. Sorry about the Chevy caps, I bought the trailer from a Chevy nut.

Tony-
I moved this to the Ford Boards so it doesn't get deleted and lost in the Driving School forum.

I just did a 60 V8 for a local guy. You don't happen to have pictures of the water pumps/thermostats do you? I just started an overhaul on an Australian 60 that is in a car and it has some odd water pumps that everyone claims are truck pumps but I've never seen them on a truck. I'm far from an expert on flat head Fords tho.

Does yours have a 2 speed rear or single?

Here are some 60 HP pumps and parts:

I don't believe the 85 HP and the 60 HP pumps are interchangeable but the 60 car and truck engines are the same.

None of the 30s trucks had a two speed axle but a Watson 2 speed auxiliary or a Warford 3 speed was made to install in the intermittent drive shaft.

Here is a good discussion forum on the old Fords: http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/index.php

I hope this helps.

Tony
